Following on from the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes is the second leg of the American Triple Crown and for one horse the dream is still alive and the whole nation will be watching this amazing event held in Maryland.
The Maryland Festival will feature 27 races worth nearly $5million and they all build up towards the 140th running of the Preakness Stakes where over 120,000 spectators will be packed into Pimlico racecourse. As well as the racing action the fans flock to see the famous Preakness Infieldfest where a live concert featuring some of the biggest names in Rock and Pop have performed making this a truly memorable occasion in the Maryland calendar.
With the United States operating a tote system on all racetracks the British bookmakers will be offering an industry price for all horses taking part in the Preakness Stakes.
